Started in 1953, under the name
Brødrene Selstad. The business was then a small local net loft, but
a lot has happened since.
In the early days of 1953 Br.
Selstad was located in what was then called Ellefsen buda, located
in the centre of town in Måløy. In 1970 Br. Selstad bought Moldøen
Canning to get access to a bigger place for the expanding business.
Today, this building has been sold off, refurbished and is used as
housing for elderly, and known as "Selstad gården".
In the beginning of the 90's the need for more space and modern
facilities became apparent. Planning and building of a new state of
the art plant was started and on February 10th 1995 a new and
modern building was ready for use. Even further capacity was
needed, and in 1999 building stage 2 was
finished.
It was also in 1999 that the company switched it's name from Br. Selstad to Selstad AS
