Selstad has been approved as an expert company with long experience in lifting and lifting equipment. Our products have been approved for sectors such as industry, offshore and shipping, and we offer our own database for fetching certificates and instructions. We make safety a high priority for all services, activities and products, and we always adhere to the applicable rules, requirements and standards.
Lifting equipment
Selstad’s qualified inspectors conduct annual inspections of lifting equipment R1, R2, R3 and R4. We also conduct inspections of fall safety equipment, personal protection equipment and climbing equipment.
Selstad also performs proof load testing through crane and equipment inspections with our loadcells and waterbags.
We offer different lifting equipment with many variants of various lifting components and dimensions for industrial and offshore. Applications In our warehouse we stock, among other things, ready-made lifting straps, round slings or lifting clamps in standard lengths, but we can also deliver in accordance with a customer’s desired specifications.
We have the requisite lifting equipment for heavy lifts, and are able to deliver in all dimensions. By agreement, we can also deliver standard or specially designed spreaders.

Steel rope
We also offer a broad spectrum of steel rope for different purposes, industries and application areas, and have many different varieties in stock. We have steel ropes for all types of cranes, such as mobile cranes, offshore cranes (Sea/Subsea), winches, lifts, mooring, straps, stays, ski lifts and forestry. We also assist you with finding the proper steel rope design adapted for your use.
Anchors, chains, moorings and buoys
Selstad delivers everything in the way of chains and other certified components for fishing and lifting devices. We can also deliver anchors for mooring of fish farming systems and other mooring equipment.
Selstad has been certified by Norsk Sertifisering for production and delivery of mooring systems for fish farming systems. We always have different types of chains, anchor chains, anchors, buoys and fibre ropes in different qualities as well as the necessary accessories in stock, and deliver in many different dimensions.
We are able to deliver many different types of buoys, either in modular systems for connecting together or as an individual element. These include, for example, subsea fish farming buoys. The buoys float well, tolerate much and are able to be adapted as needed.

Selstad has qualified and experienced personnel who assist with tasks that involve treatment of steel rope, chain, rope and other lifting equipment, and we can by agreement perform splicing either at our own workshop or on-site.
Re-certification and annual inspections for all types of lifting equipment
Products such as chain slings may constitute a hazard if they are not in order, but after having been certified by us customers can feel secure that the product complies with the standards and requirements posed.
Workshop
At our workshop in Måløy, we perform everything in the way of splicing for rope and wire, as well as treatment of lifting equipment and welding. Here we can make all types of wire, chain and round slings; either as per your desired specifications, as standard or as per DNV.
Reeling
Selstad can reel both steel rope and rope at our divisions in Måløy, Ålesund and Tromsø.
Sockets
We cast sockets of all sizes, and perform rehabilitation of sockets with cleaning/sandblasting and associated NDT inspections and surface treatment.
150 ton test bench
Selstad conducts routine testing on all products. With our 150 ton test bench we can perform tests on rope, steel rope, chain and other lifting equipment.
